David hails from Sheffield. He has had lengthy and varied experience in teaching children with problems of sight and hearing. Latterly he managed services for such children in Norfolk, which is where he hails from.
He became a trustee of Breckenbrough at the start of 2007, soon accepting the role of Company Secretary, and later becoming the first Convener of the new Education and Care Committee. He has also worked on the preparation of information for and the induction of new Governors and his our Governor with responsibility for Child Protection. He brings his management experience to bear on our work here; and his down-to-earth approach helps the Board finds sensible solutions to knotty-looking problems. In 2011 he will begin a second four year term as Trustee.
He still relaxes in Norfolk, sailing on the Broads, but declares that his spiritual home is in Wensleydale where he has a cottage, dog, several posh cars, and makes and decorates glass objects
