Kathie is a former teacher of Drama and Theatre Studies, who has worked in many parts of England, closing her professional career in Ilkley. She currently uses her skills working with a young people’s Saturday Club as part of the Small World Cultural Arts collective in Keighley, and is a voluntary Room Steward at Haworth’s Brontë Parsonage Museum, close to where she lives. She is an active member of Keighley Local Quaker Meeting. She has recently taken up t’ai chi.
Luckily for us she has energy to spare to be a Breckenbrough Trustee beginning in January 2010 and she has thrown herself into this work with enthusiasm, sharing in the tasks of the Education & Care and Personnel Committees. She has also accepted a role as one of the two members of our Nominations Group who look to the staffing of the Committees and the annual nominations of Chair and Deputy for the Board.
She says she is interested in everything about Breckenbrough but perhaps most of all in how the education and care aspects of the school somehow combine to aid the development of our students.
