Breckenbrough Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance

Breckenbrough Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance starts from Year 7 and continues in Years 8, 9 and 10 with delivery through the PSHCE programme. Year 11 students have a weekly careers lessons with the onsite careers adviser and complete the NCFE Employability Skills Level 1.

From Y9 – 14 students receive 1 to 1 careers guidance interviews.  Students can access employer/FE/HE visits, work experience, and attend presentations within school delivered by guest speakers from industry.

The Gatsby benchmarks are a framework of 8 guidelines that define best careers provision in schools and colleges.  Breckenbrough School performs well against the benchmarks, and uses the results to evaluate in order to make ongoing improvements.  Our Gatsby benchmark report is accessible here.
