Additional Interventions and Therapeutic Provision
As part of our specialist provision, we have a team of professionals able to offer additional interventions and therapies appropriate to the needs of the students.
All students undertake a literacy assessment as part of their initial assessment prior to entry to the school. This information is used in conjunction with the Education, Health, and Care plan, to identify any additional literacy needs which need to be addressed. Where necessary further assessments may be undertaken by a specialist teacher/assessor to ensure that a fully appropriate bespoke plan is written and delivered. The literacy intervention may focus on a combination of spelling, reading, or writing support, using a wide variety of resources, to suit the needs of the student.
